Getting Started with Paligo

The Structure View

The Structure View consists of three sections:

  • The Structure section

  • The Metadata section

  • The Preview section.

Each of these is further described below.

Structure

The Structure section, showing the structure of the component, i.e if it has nested topics reused in it.

The Structure section is mostly used for Publications. This is where you create your publications by reusing topics. Just drag and drop topics here and then nest them to create the structure you want, like building a table of contents.

Metadata

The Metadata section, showing information (metadata) about, e.g:

  • The author of the component

  • The creation date

  • The workflow status (Work in Progress, Released, etc)

  • Where the component is reused (Related Publications)

  • etc.

Preview

The Preview section gives you a quick and convenient way to view the content of your topics, without having to open it in the Editor.
