Getting Started with Paligo

Importing Other Proprietary Formats

Paligo can also import a number of proprietary formats indirectly, such as InDesign, Framemaker, Author-it, Robohelp, etc. This requires that your content must be exported to one of the formats Paligo can handle. Although this is a multi-step process, it is often quite simple, and the gains may be great for speeding up migration of your content.

  1. Export your content to HTML, DITA or Word.

If DITA is available, it is recommended, since you will likely get a more proper topic structure that way. If you have used metadata, e.g for filtering, they may also be included.

  2. Follow the instructions for the chosen export format. E.g if you have chosen to export to HTML, use the Import Wizard directly.
